Reed Ripley is a film critic based in Leawood, Kansas. He reviews for the Martin City Telegraph, a biweekly paper covering South Kansas City, and for Ripley's Reviews. When he's not reviewing films, Reed practices law at Stewart, Wald & McCulley, a Rails-to-Trails litigation firm based in Kansas City, Missouri.
Although he doesn't have a formal background in film journalism, he does have a Sports Media degree from the School of Media and Strategic Communications at Oklahoma State University, where broadcasting and writing for the O'Colly helped develop his voice and technique. Reed started writing reviews as an outlet to talk about movies (and as an excuse to make more time to watch them), and he intends his reviews as approachable, conversational criticism.
Much appreciation goes out to Reed's wife, Kelsey, who supports him in everything he does. Thank you for visiting the site, and if you like the reviews, make sure to pass them along to the movie lovers in your life.
